The Igembe south legislator took out to criticize what he termed as intimidations by the CS saying that he was willing to return the car.

CS Munya over the weekend accused the MP of being ungrateful and disrespectful to the president even after the president bought him his first car.

“You don’t insult an elder who addresses you as his son and bought your first car out of love. You should reciprocate by supporting him and telling the people the good things he has done for them,” Munya said.

Following his election victorying 2017, Uhuru presented the 28-year-old Toyota Landcruiser Prado, making him a national celebrity.

Mwirigi, who comes from a poor family, defied the odds by securing a seat on an independent ticket. After discovering that he defeated Rufus Miriti of the Jubilee party after months of campaigning on a bicycle, the President was moved by his narrative.

On Saturday, CS Munya, who was campaigning for Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga, attacked the local MP over his political affiliation while addressing farmers at Igembe Tea Factory.

Mwirigi is an ardent supporter of Deputy President William Ruto and publicly announced that he would secure his seat through Ruto’s UDA party.

The CS on his end held the view that the legislator should join the Azimio Coalition and support Raila Odinga who is Uhuru’s Preferred candidate.

The President wants us to benefit when he retires and does not want us in the opposition. He does not want us to suffer like we did for 24 years,” Munya said.
