Portuguese professional footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has finally broken his silence over a return to where he built his name – Manchester United Football Club.

Despite a deal for his return having been announced by Man United a few days ago, Cristiano Ronaldo had not said a word about his imminent reunion with his old club – at least not anywhere on his official social media pages.

But the superstar has finally penned an emotional post on his Instagram account – after the deal was officially confirmed.

In a lengthy post, Cristiano Ronaldo started by reminding the world that whatever he achieved at Old Trafford is well documented and known.

“Everyone who knows me, knows about my never ending love for Manchester United. The years I spent in this club where absolutely amazing and the path we’ve made together is written in gold letters in the history of this great and amazing institution,” read part of the post.

Ronaldo signed for Manchester United in 2003, then aged 18, and left for Real Madrid in 2009 having won three consecutive Premier League titles, one Champions League and a Ballon d’Or – an award he scooped while aged 23.

And as he returns to his former club, the 36-year-old footballer says he can’t even start to explain his feelings right now, as he sees his return to Old Trafford announced worldwide.

“It’s like a dream come true, after all the times that I went back to play against Man. United, and even as an opponent, to have always felt such love and respect from the supporters in the stands. This is absolutely 100% the stuff that dreams are made of!,”  Cristiano Ronaldo notes.

The footballer also pointed out that his move to Man United in 2003 was his breakthrough.

“My first domestic League, my first Cup, my first call to the Portuguese National team, my first Champions League, my first Golden Boot and my first Ballon d’Or, they were all born from this special connection between me and the Red Devils. History has been written in the past and history will be written once again! You have my word!” Cristiano Ronaldo said.

With the deal now sealed, he says the return is in honor of the boss Sir Alex Ferguson and he’s now ready to make it happen again.
