The ex-Prime Minister and former Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Sunday could not hide his joy of having left the hospital.

Through his social media Twitter handle, Raila shared a short clip where he appeared to be taking a slight jog. Donned in track suits, and sports footwear, Raila stated "I’m glad to be back home" as the clip's caption.

Through the clip's conversation with his young daughter Ms. Winnie Odinga, Raila was heard expressing his joy for being back at home.

At the same time, Ms. Winnie can be heard congratulating her dad for making it back home. Last Tuesday, Raila was taken to Nairobi hospital after he complained of fatigue and other slight complications.

After numerous tests, it turned out two days later that he had Covid-19, with medics advising slight isolation. Speaking shortly after the results, Raila urged Kenyans to fully adhere to the set regulations, since the pandemic is real.

Raila's positive status caused tension among his close circle, with his close allies also preferring to take the test. ODM Communications' director Philip Etale also reportedly tested positive, a day after his party leader Raila.

As a result, the ODM party's headquarters have temporarily been closed following Etale's and Raila's cases.
