Shops remain closed in different parts of Kisumu ahead of Azimio la Umoja mass protest. The protest are to cover the whole country. 

Heavy security has been set up along state house road. Raila Odinga, the party`s leader had last week called for all his supporters to show unity and come out in large nurmbers. In his last speech, Raila stated that they would write their manifestos and take it to statehouse. 

The party cries for the hardships across the nation which is brought by the high costs of basic needs and fuel. Raila Odinga says that they are going to be unstoppable, calling out for the police to do their jobs. Raila has assured the protests to be peaceful. 

In their previous protests, they started peacefully but later turned into chaos, Police have had to disparch them with teargas or whooping. 

However, there is a normal flow of activities in Kibera and some other parts of the country.
