Being the first Middle Eastern country to host the 2022 FIFA World cup, Qatar constructed a total of seven brand-new stadiums in the prominent cities where the football matches were to be played. The 974 stadium being of them is one of a kind as it is the only stadium that was designed to be dismantled.
The stadium has so far hosted 7 games in the round of 16 matches including Brazil versus South Korea.
The 974 stadium was constructed from recycled shipping containers and is located on Doha's waterfront and boasting a spectacular view of the city skyline. The stadium has hosted several games including group and knockout competitions since the FIFA world cup matches began.

The Stadium 974 is made out of old shipping containers - and will only host 13 games in Qatar. After that it will be entirely deconstructed and shipped to another country and rebuilt there.

The '974' name is the Gulf nation's international number and it also indicates the number of containers used in the construction. Additionally, the stadium has the ability to hold a capacity of 44,089 fans during the match. It is also the only venue without air conditioning hence many matches are hosted at the place taking part during the evening hours when the temperature is cool.
According to sources, after the FIFA world cup has ended, the stadium is set to be dismantled and the containers shipped to the countries that will be interested.
