International Women's  Day

The theme of this year's International Women's day is DigitALL. Women are being educated on the need for technology and the impact they have put on the field. Leaders are emphasizing on equal access to technology.

In Kenya, Women have gathered in Nyayo Garden, in Nakuru. Susan Kihika, the Governor of Nakuru organized the meeting and called for the women in the county. The county is one of the unique counties with most of its leaders being women. In the meeting, the present leaders should come up with ideas to empower women. This comes in handy with the recent WOMEN FUND launched by the president. 

The meeting is set to cover most of the issues affecting women, including Gender-based violence and rape. This follows a series of cases on the same.

In Meru, the County Governor, Kawira Mwangaza is set to visit the Meru Referal Hospital. She will be visiting the expectant women in the hospital. 

Doctors from Meru Referal hospital are calling on women to get vaccinated against HPV. Those with female children are advised to take them for vaccination. The hospital is also offering Breast and cervical cancer screening.

In Kajiado, parents have organized a meeting to stop teen pregnancy. This comes after reviews that Kajiado records the highest teen pregnancy.
