Both Israel and Hamas have claimed victory in the 11 days violence.

United States of America President Joe Biden said the ceasefire brought "genuine opportunity" for progress.

On Thursday, Israel released more than 100 rockets targeting Hamas infrastructure in the north of Gaza. However, the Israeli military said Hamas militants launched more than 300 rockets towards Israel during the day.

The violence began in Gaza on 10th May after weeks of rising Israeli-Palestinian tension in occupied East Jerusalem that culminated in clashes at a holy site revered by both Muslims and Jews. Hamas began firing rockets after warning Israel to withdraw from the site, triggering retaliatory airstrikes.

According to Gaza’s health ministry, at least 232 people including more than 100 women and children lost their lives in Gaza.

According to Israel’s medical service information, 12 people including 2 children have lost their lives. Israel says 4,000 rockets have been fired towards its territory by militants in Gaza.
