Chelseas dominance against the Cityzens came to a halt as Manchester City beat the Londoners 1-0 at the Bridge earlier today.

City dominated the game from the get-go with 67% possession. Chelsea keeper Benjamin Mendy was barely thwarted at first while at the other end Chelsea put up a few decent attacking opportunities but couldn't capitalise. Chelsea received an early blow after Reece James was forced off the pitch with Thiago Silva coming on in his place. Mins later Gabriel Jesus had chance to capitalise on poor defence organization by the Blues after receiving a wonderfully clipped ball by Phil Foden but the Brazilian fluffed his chance and sent the ball wide.

Jesus made up for his earlier miss and in the 53rd minute, he created a chance for himself by neat thread of footwork before squeezing the ball into the bottom corner past the crowded six-yard area.

Jesus goal opened up the game and Jack Grealish forced off an inpeccable save from Mendy as he managed to divert the ball inches off the goal with his fingertips.

Kai Havertz set up Romelu Lukaku who slotted the ball home in an empty net. The crowd was up on their feet roaring only for linesma to cut short the  celebration as Kai was initially offside.

Pep Guardiola will be delighted with the result as Chelsea have deemed to be quite a formidable foe.  The Spaniard hasn't lost against a team more than the Pride of London. The result brings to a halt Chelseas' unbeaten run in all competitions.
