Former Brighton and Crystal Place striker Glenn Murray has on Monday 31st announced his retirement from football.

The 37-year-old forward spent the second half of the season at Nottingham Forest on a short-term deal after leaving Brighton Albion.

Glenn Murray scored two goals for Nottingham Forest in 16 appearances he made.

However, with his contract expiring at the end of June 2021, Glenn took to social media to announce he is hanging up his boots, posting: "To all the Clubs, Players & Fans that I've come across on this life-changing journey...THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. It's been a pleasure, hanging them up."

Murray played for Rochdale shortly before spending 3 years with Brighton in 2008 and re-joined the side in 2017 after spells with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.

Overall Glenn Murray scored 204 goals in nearly 600 professional appearances in his career.
