The suspected Indonesian teenager is yet to release the Kabarak University Facebook account, claiming a ransom of Ksh. 68,000. The hacker claims that the amount is too little for such a big institution.

The University had to issue a public notification, explaining that the account had been hacked

"We regret to inform the public that our Official Facebook Page has been compromised by a group of cybercriminals. As a result, the criminals are using it to spread malicious and misleading images and information that are contrary to the Biblical Christian values of Kabarak University."

The hacker is still posting on the Facebook account, threatening to post worse things if his demands are not met.

In Kenya, an individual who is found guilty of cybercrime carries a general penalty of fine not exceeding Ksh.3Million or an imprisonment term not exceeding 10 years or both.
