Professor George Magoha, Cabinet Secretary of Education, announced that the marking of the KCPE will be completed within the following two weeks just like last year. He also said that the marking of the Mathematics and English papers done on the first day of KCPE examinations have already commenced.

“Marking of the exam papers has already begun and the results will be out at the same time as last year”, spoke the CS as he oversaw distribution papers in Nairobi.

Last year released KCPE results in two weeks after the exams were concluded whereas during the previous years it took more than 14 days.

At the beginning of examinations, the CS warned teachers and candidates from engaging in any examination misconduct including using phones in examination rooms. He also warned anyone who would engage the students with misleading information about the exams. Outsiders were also barred from accessing the examination centers throughout the examination period.

Today the CS applauded teachers for their commitment during the exam period.

“So far, the examination has run smoothly and we applaud teachers for their commitment during this exam period,” added Prof Magoha.
