Benjamin Langat resigned last week to focus on his ambition of becoming Ainamoi Constituency legislator which he left to Silvannus Maritim when tried to run for the gubernatorial seat in Kericho County.

‘After consulting the constituents of Ainamoi, it is clear that they need me to assist them and I am the favorite front runner to achieve the bottom-up approach. I have accepted their call and will be looking for a term to serve them’’ said Langat

Benjamin Langat who has served as Ainamoi MP from 2013 to 2017 and during the 2017 elections vied to become the county boss but lost to Prof Paul  Chepkwony.

Langat will be battling for a UDA ticket with the incumbent Silvannus Maritim among other aspirants.

According to one of the Ainamoi residents, Benjamin has a chance of winning the seat compared to the incumbent.

Despite the recent alignment with the Deputy President and his transformational agenda in ensuring that a section of Ainamoi schools benefits from the school buses, Maritim has a huge battle to face Benjamin langat and other strong competitors.
