Kenya Lionesses were thrashed 27-15 by Madagascar in the pre-Olympics test rugby 15-a-side match at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday.

It was all business for the Islanders as they avenged the 35-5 beating they received in 2019 Africa Women's Cup 2021 Rugby World Cup qualifiers in South Africa.
Veronique Rasoanekena and Claudia Rasoaharimalala could not take the footsteps of their injured main star, but coach Mitch Ocholla still believes his final 23 players could surprise the world.
"Saturday's game is a new chapter in women's rugby in Kenya as it marks the first time the fifteens squad is in action without the sevens players who have been a vital cog of the team," he said.
The two sides are set to meet again on July 11 in the second and final test match.
