Kenyans Beseech Maraga`s Return As CJ Koome Under Pressure
Kenyans are now pleading for the return of retired Chief Justice David Kenani Maraga at the time the judicial Service commission is under testing waters. This has placed current Kenya`s Chief Justice Martha Koome under pressure.
Many Kenyans including the TransNzoia County NGO Chairperson Mr. Keffa Were accused CJ Koome of laxity right after she took charge of the office.
According to Were, CJ Koome didn't outstand in the interview when the Judicial Service Commission of Kenya was looking for a candidate to fill the gap that was left by retired chief justice David Kenani Maraga.
Were Says Martha wasn't the best choice but she was chosen to balance the gender inequality in the JSC.
However, all eyes are now focused on CJ Koome waiting for her final decision concerning the matter where President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed new 34 judges and rejected 6 nominees despite their approval by the judicial service commission of Kenya.
Earlier on Friday, June 4th, the Elgeyo Marakwet County Senator Kipchumba Murkonmen threw the ball to CJ Koome citing that her decision was what will matter on the case.
Our eyes are fixed on the liberation warrior , the Prayer warrior, the Chief Justice and the President of the Supreme Court Justice MARTHA KOOME. This a watershed moment in the history of our Judiciary and will define the LEGACY of CJ Koome. Over to you madam CJ ! pic.twitter.com/C5iHeaKJ1v

Citizens now believe that retired Maraga`s decisions could have been of due diligence and transparency.
Former CJ Maraga was the 14th Kenya`s chief justice whose term begun from October 2016 till his retirement in January 2021.
