Father Kimanzi was in a relationship with Veronica when she was 15 years old. The combination led to the siring of their 9-year-old daughter Lilian. At the time, Kimanzi was serving in the Nuu Catholic Parish.

After 6 years on the corridors of justice, Veronica and her daughter were denied justice.
Witness testimonies and documentary evidence, including a DNA report, indicated that Father Kimanzi, in charge of Kabati Parish, refused to take responsibility for the child and frustrated efforts by Ms. Mutua’s family to get justice.

From the Sorry incident, both mother and baby miraculously survived the brutal attack but the baby suffered permanent disability including loss of sight, damaged brain, and crippled legs.
