Twalib Mbarak stated that Kenya, through the EACC, will provide technical assistance to Congolese counterparts in the arena of modern communication systems and information technologies. The EACC has had a foothold in the fight against corruption for more than twenty years while the APLC has existed for less than a quinquennial. The Congolese government aims to leverage this experience. The Congolese Minister of Justice expressed his hopes for enhanced capacity building in the APLC with the help of their Kenyan brothers. Mbarak, however, cautioned that Kenya’s role is not supervisory or a "big brother," but as equal partners in the fight for better systems.
