Kilifi Governor Kingi Axed From ODM Post

Governor Kingi was ejected from his post and replaced with Ganze Member of Parliament Teddy Mwambire.

Information sourced by Bright Kenya news revealed that the Kilifi boss was ousted from his position citing disloyalty of the party.

However, the governor`s removal from the party comes at a time he had been calling for the formation of a political party from the coastal region.

"We want a political outfit with its roots being from the coastal region. If it's a party or a coalition it will not have candidates from the coastal region only it will have contestants from Nyanza, Western, and even Central," he explained.

The new chairperson Mwambire had earlier stated that the ODM party had a stronghold in Kilifi and asked politicians who wanted to exit the party to leave before the 2022 General Election.
