Her product launch comes barely a week after Rihanna's Fenty beauty products were launched in Kenya and parts of Africa.

The new products will deliver "rejuvenation, nourishment, and an indulgent at-home experience designed to help people feel confident in their skin," according to a press release.

"In all of my business endeavors, I've been fueled by my passion to fill gaps in the market with expertly-crafted and universally-loved products that are performance-driven – and I have carried this same drive and approach with me into creating a legacy skincare brand," Kim stated.

Kim also revealed how her skin journey has been throughout.

"What began as a psoriasis diagnosis became the catalyst for my journey of skincare discoveries, inspiring me to learn more about my skin and how to care for it. Working with some of the top dermatologists and estheticians over the years has given me the incredible opportunity to learn from their expertise— and I knew I had to share my learnings," Kim added.

The SKKN BY KIM collection includes nine core products in sleek, minimalistic, nude packaging that matches Kim's signature aesthetic.

SKKN products are significantly more expensive than most skin care.

The nine items total $630: cleanser, toner, exfoliator, hyaluronic acid serum, vitamin C serum, face cream, eye cream, oil drops, and night oil. It's a price that many of her potential customers and 313 million Instagram followers may not be able to afford.

All products are refillable, and replacement pods are roughly 15% less expensive than the original packaging.

Kardashian's entire business revolves around her image, and she takes it very seriously. Her body is the foundation of her net worth, which is estimated to be more than $1 billion. Her expression, everything else follows from that. Her physical appearance and willingness to manipulate it is her profession, whether it's fitting into a dress or spending 18 hours bleaching her hair platinum.

For years, she has been in the news for attempting extreme beauty treatments.

Kim Kardashian's newest brand, SKNN BY KIM, is adding to her growing list of successful ventures. While sister Kylie Jenner has been including skincare in her Kylie Cosmetics line for some time, Kardashian has remained focused on her now-paused KKW Beauty line and fashion brand Skims.

Her previous beauty lines were diverse and not all of them were successful. KKW Fragrance, a line of kitschy, emoji-themed perfumes, and KKW Beauty, a makeup collection, were both available.
