A pathology examination conducted on Mr. Elijah Obuong, one of the four men who were kidnapped in Kitengela showed that he was strangled to death.

Elijah's corpse was discovered by sand harvesters in River Mukungai, on April 20, 2021, and later booked at Murang'a mortuary as that of an unidentified person.

Samples from his stomach were also drawn for further analysis, in efforts to unravel whether the four could have been poisoned at the hotel they had their lunch before vanishing.

The four had been linked to criminal activities by the law enforcers. However, their family members have since denied that their relatives were criminals.

Elijah's mother for instance defended him as a staunch Adventist who could only have been misled by his friends maybe. Two of the four friends have since been found dead.

Elijah and Benjamin Imbai's corpses have since been found, while Jack Ochieng's and Brian Oduor's whereabouts remain unknown.

Initially, a body discovered a short distance from Elijah's had been believed to be Ochieng's before his family later on disowned it saying he was the one.

Ochieng's family further demanded to have their brother whether alive or dead. The family described Ochieng as a nice person to everyone and had committed no crime at all.

"I am kindly requesting, that if anyone knows of Jack's whereabouts or has him somewhere, please help us trace him...," pleaded Ochieng's family.

Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai on Friday (yesterday) directed detectives to thoroughly investigate the disappearances and file a report within a month.
