Power consumers will have a difficult time after Kenya Power announced that power customers using prepaid and postpaid tokens will be affected because the power supplier is facing a technical hitch in token generation and postpaid bill payment.

In a statement released earlier today by the power supplier, it was said that the technical hitch was affecting the token generation hence the delay in processing the payments made by customers  and their team is doing all they can  to fix the errors.

“ We would like to inform our customers that we are experiencing a technical hitch that is affecting prepaid token generation and post paid bill payment”, read Kenya Power statement.

The power supply which is currently under scrutiny by Kenyans for  several losses in the past years  has assured the citizens that they are doing all they can to restore the services back to normalcy.

Businesses and individuals will be affected by these technical  hitches  because upto 70% of businesses and individuals rely on power supply  to  carry out  their operations. Kenya Power also  issued  apologies to the customers for the inconveniences they have caused because of the technicalities that  they have witnessed . 

" Our team  has identified the issue, and restoration of normal services is currently in progress so that customers can access their platforms soon."

There have been discrepancies in Kenya Power over the few months that is making the business  lose billions while other business operators shifting solar as an alternative power supply because of the cost and errors such as witnessed today.
