LA Clippers 'Jazzed' by Utah Jazz

Despite a sluggish start, Rudy Gobert’s cutch block at the buzzer is all that was needed to secure Utah Jazz’s 112-109 win over Los Angeles Clippers in the opening game of their NBA playoff series at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Tuesday.

Gorbert who is looking forward to winning his third defensive player of the year award could not be left unnoticed from the game with the remarkable last-second defense to deny forward Morris's a three-point attempt in front of the crowd of 18,007.

The Clippers came in hard just two days after a tough outing with Dallas ending the first quarter with a 25-18 and 60-47, at the half but it took the Jazz who had plenty of resting time the third quarter to outscore the Clippers 32-19 to level the scores to 79-79.

The Jazz has never lost to the Clippers in the postseason and despite missing their star guard Mike Conley with an injury they showed their class with 18 points from Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson with an additional 8 points from Joel Ingles and seven assist to seal the win.

In the other game played, the top-seeded Philadelphia 76ers topped the Atlanta Hawks 118-102 to level their Eastern Conference series to one game each.
