This was the first postseason victory of 2021 for the 2020 NBA champions and the win temporarily gives them a home-court advantage as the series shifts to Staples Center for games 3 and 4.

It was a strong display from the Lakers despite the loss at game 1 particularly from contributions of the guys that played alongside Anthony Davis and LeBron.

Center Andre Drummond put up 11 points and 10 rebounds in the first half while on defense point guard Dennis Schroder displayed unnoticeable performance that saw the Lakers forced at least 13 turnovers for the second straight game and handily won the rebounding battle 39-31 particularly after being exploited in Game 1.

Los Angeles Lakers rarely rely on the depth of their bench for performance but Tuesday victory majorly came from the bench contribution of 13 points relieing LeBron’s duty who has found himself in individual playoff battles with a wide range of players throughout his career.

Game 3 is slated for May 27th and as much as the Suns proved they can hang with the Lakers, with or without Chris Paul, Tuesday game showed Phoenix might not be able to beat the champs without his contributions.
