Wiper party contestant for the Machakos Senatoruial race Ms. Agnes Kavindu has cast her vote, further expressing her confidence to carry the victory.

Speaking shortly after voting, Ms. Kavindu expressed her satisfaction with how the exercise was being conducted, despite low voter turn-out.

However, Ms. Kavindu raised some concerns on how voter bribery was being reported in some regions like Tala, Masii, Yatta, and Masinga.

The malpractice was allied to the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), a party linked to DP William Ruto and led by Kavindu's ex-husband and former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama.

The aspirant further trashed recent claims that she got cleared unlawfully since she lacked the required education.

In the company of the Transport CAS and former Mavoko MP Ms. Wavinya Ndeti, Kavindu pleaded with bosses to release their workers early so that they can vote before 5 pm when the exercise will close.

Concerning the low voter turnout, Machakos office IEBC Boss Boya Molu stated that such was expected since the polling exercise is on a weekday, yet many are held up by their work.

Bolu added that he hoped the nimbers would rise along the day since the exercise will be conducted until 5 pm.
