Magistrate Apprehended On Suspicion Of Having Sexual Relations With A Minor
A male magistrate has been arrested in Bomet for alleged sexual contact with a child.

The 17-year-old girl was apprehended in lodging at Kaplong Centre in Bomet with the Judicial officer whose name has been suppressed.
On Thursday, March 31, the magistrate rented a guest room at Kaplong at 8 p.m., and later that night, at 11 p.m., he brought a 17-year-old girl into his room.
The guest home management alerted officers from the Sotik Police Station, who set up an ambush.
The magistrate and the youngster were located in his car, a high-end Toyota model, when the law enforcement authorities arrived at the said-guest house.
According to a police record filed at the Sotik post, "the suspect was then placed in police custody, and the juvenile was booked as a kid in need of care and protection."
Police said they seized a "sperm-stained" bed sheet and tissue paper from the guest room where the two had been.
The minor was brought to a hospital in Kericho for medical treatment.
The magistrate, who is in his 50s, is claimed to work at a law court in one of Nyanza's counties.
The arrest has been confirmed by Bomet County Commandant Esther Senoney.
