Man Hangs Self Over Daughter`s Pending Hospital Bill
A sombre mood engulfed a family in Siaya county on Thursday 11th November. This is after a 55-year-old man from West Asembo allegedly committed suicide after his clan failed to settle a Ksh.13,000 medical bill for his unwell daughter.

According to details by bright Kenya news, the man who was identified as Alfred Owuor Oyoo, is said to have taken his life after his relative unexpectedly went back on his word to clear the bill at the last minute.
West Asembo chief Wycliffe Odiango who Confirmed the incident, said that the man's body was discovered swinging from a tree by a neighbor shortly after the deceased learned that his relative would not pay the fee.
Similarly, Odiango also added that Oyoo had been living alone since his divorce from his wife, who now lives with his daughter. Oyoo's daughter became ill and was hospitalized at Bondo Sub-County Hospital, resulting in a hospital cost of Ksh. 13,000 for Oyoo.
However, as the inquiry into the matter continues, the deceased's body was transported to the Madiany Sub-County Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
