Man Stabbed To Death Over Water Supply Row

According to police, the unidentified suspect slashed the man with a sword on the left side of the chest, instantly killing him.

The DCI said the suspect killed the man after arguing about water supply to his Eastleigh flat.

Abdifata Hassan, the son of his deceased, said that his father was asked by a customer to deliver water using a water bowser to a residence in the area.

Upon arrival, they were confronted by a group of business rivals who claimed Hassan had encroached on the "territory" of the water sellers.

A heated argument ensued, and the suspect grabbed a Somali sword and struck the deceased.

The DCI said that the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to the injuries sustained when he was stabbed.

“Efforts to save the man’s life by rushing him to nearby Almin Hospital were fruitless, as he was confirmed to have succumbed to the injury,” the detectives from DCI said on Monday.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect who immediately fled the scene after the act.
