Match fixing or innocent blunder ? Brian Bwire 88th minute blunder sends fans into a frenzy as Kenyan players professionalism put to question
Denzel Kimani 11 Uganda Cranes rallied from behind to salvage a 1-1 draw against Harambee Stars in their 2022 FIFA World Cup Group E Qualifying match at St Mary's Stadium, Kitende yesterday evening.
However what stood out to Kenyans is not the outcome of the game but rather the manner in which Harambee Stars conceeded the goal that restored Uganda's hope. Kenyan Goalkeeper Brian Bwire was in the process of time wasting as he casually collected the ball in the six-yard area, Fayad Bayo reacted quickly, pounced onto the ball and poked it home before Bwire could get a hold of it to hand Cranes a draw.
Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) were having none of it and went ahead to air out their disgust on the catastrophic event that transpired :
