MC Jessy To Run for South Imenti Parliamentary Seat
Churchill Show Comedian Jasper Muthomi, popularly known as Mc Jessy, has announced that he has officially joined the 2022 parliamentary race for South Imenti Constituency.

On Saturday, the comedian received an endorsement from the constituency's elders.
"Over the weekend, I was grateful and humbled by the elders who raised me when they honored and bestowed on me the blessings and responsibilities to lead South Imenti constituency as the Member of Parliament."

For many Kenyan communities, the spear and a leaf-shaped shield often symbolize leadership, unity, and the defense of community interests.
The shield often possesses a grip carved from the solid and is decorated in zigzag traditional colors.
It is not yet clear which party the comedian will use to launch his manifesto for the community. The source of his funding is also not yet known.
"The mantle has been passed and each generation must safeguard it and extend it further."
He is seeking to succeed the incumbent Kathuri Murungi, who is serving his second term since he got elected to the position in 2013
