Peter Okiring, the Rongo Sub County Police Commander, said the victim, Thomas Onduru, 30, was hacked to death by an unknown attacker while on his way home from Riosir Trading Centre in Central Kamagambo.

"He vanished after doing the offense, and we are on the lookout for him. I would advise the people of Rongo to refrain from trying to take the law into their own hands; there is no need to resort to violence” the police commander stated.

Okiring stated the victim was fatally attacked at approximately 11 p.m. at a drinking spot in the Riosir trade market.

According to him, early investigations revealed that the deceased was having an affair with the lead suspect's wife.

The suspect, according to Okiring, vanished following the attack and is being pursued by the police.

The deceased's body has been relocated to the Rapcom hospital mortuary pending the outcome of the police investigation.
