Radio presenter Shaffie Weru and his two co-hosts' troubles on Saturday evening took a new dimension after their suspension grew to expulsion.

The Homeboyz presenter was recently caught in trouble after he together with his colleagues shamed a woman who had survived sexual violence in the arms of her boyfriend.

Weru during his programme seemed to side with the woman's abuser, causing online uproars which forced the station management to suspend him alongside his colleagues.

The feminist utterances further pushed East African Breweries Limited (EABL) reportedly withdraw all its advertisement services associated with the station.

Justifying their expulsion, Homeboyz Radio General Manager Somoina Kimonjino stated that the time was ripe to dismiss Shaffie and his colleagues, owing to the harm already caused to the firm.

Homeboyz radio has since apologized to its community, assuring the public of its endeavour to ensure their presenters are taught about the ethics required.

Before their expulsion, the three had been suspended following gross misconduct during their 'Lift Off' programme where they verbally attacked a sexual assault survivor.

Instead of condemning the violence by the abuser, the trio blamed the woman as the cause of her own troubles. The victim had taken to the radio to lamented how she cheated death after being thrown from the 12th floor of a building.

Fortunately, she fell on the 9th floor where she only suffered some injuries.
