Bayern Munich maestro Thomas Műller celebrates his opener last night against Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga.

Bayern took the lead in the 10th min when Thomas Műller clinically slotted the ball home in the six-yard area with his weaker left foot. The German swept past opposition defence to score his 131st Bundesliga career goal.

Bayern doubled the lead when Leroy Sanè set up fellow German Joshua Kimmich as he pulled off one of his signature strikes, a curled effort into the bottom right-hand corner of the goal that slithered past Greuther Furth keeper Sascha Burchett.

Polish poacher Robert Lewandowski came inches of equalling German great Gerd Műllers record of scoring in 16 consecutive games as his fizzling shot rattled the crossbar after an exquisite flick from Joshua Kimmich.

Bayern started the second half poorly as French international Benjamin Pavard received his marching orders.

Bayern's 3rd goal came in the 69th min when Greuther Furth midfielder Sebastian Griesbach scored an OG attempting to clear the ball from menacing Robert Lewandowski.

Unlike Barcelona, Greuther managed to score a consolation courtesy of Cedric Itten in the 88th min when he headed it in from close range to mark his first Bundesliga goal.

The win meant Bayern have won 8 games in a row in all competitions, extended their win against newly-promoted teams to 16( 13 wins 3 draws). Meanwhile, Greuther Furth remains at the bottom with a solitary point in their second season at the top flight of German football with the likelihood of relegation seeming undisputed.
