Murang`a Residents Side node JB Muturi`s Coronation { VIDEO}
The National Assembly Speaker Justine Muturi`s Coronation is underway in Murang`a county Mukurwe wa Nyagathanga Shrine even as a section of residents seems to be against the celebrations.
Christine Juma The speaker is set to be coronated as the Mt Kenya Kingpin and will immediately replace President Uhuru who is his predecessor as the Regions Kingpin.
The coronation is currently being faced with vast challenges as a section of the Kikuyu elders are currently holding protests at the shrine claiming that the activity is against Kikuyu culture as it undermines President Uhuru Kenyatta`s ability .
According to the Kikuyu culture, a father is not inherited while still alive.
In addition, the National chairman of Kikuyu elders Ndung’u wa Gaithuma and his deputy have distanced themselves from the coronation ceremony which is being led by Murang’a branch chairman Kiarii Rugami.
On the other hand, Muranga county governor Mwangi Wa Iria on Friday 21st vowed to disrupt the ceremony claiming it was illegal.
