Jubilee officials have time and again pointed an accusing finger to DP Ruto over what they term as defiance to his boss President Kenyatta.

Jubilee party Vice Chair David Murathe recently opened up on how the impeachment plan against Deputy President William Ruto from the party was dealt a blow by President Magufuli's sudden demise.

Murathe's statement comes amid claims that Jubilee's top management failed to reach an agreement on how and when to kick out DP Ruto.

Speaking on Monday, March 22, Murathe rubbished the allegations maintaining that they had resolved to withhold the entire ouster motion in order to mourn Magufuli.

"We have put everything on ice in honor of Magufuli and out of respect for our partnership with Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM)...," stated Murathe maintaining that they will revisit the agenda after mourning.

Further, the ouster awaits approval by the National Executive Committee (NEC) led by President Kenyatta, with the National Management Committee (NMC) already having okayed DP Ruto's removal.

With the likes of Murathe pushing for DP Ruto's ouster, close sources have hinted at how reluctant President Kenyatta is about the agenda.

According to Kenyatta, it may not be an easy task to impeach his DP, given that he was chosen by people. Constitutionally, the party's deputy leader automatically becomes the Deputy President as long as the party is in power.
