Nikki Haley, former US ambassador to the United Nations stated on Monday night that she will not stand in Donald Trump`s way should he choose to run for a second term in 2024.

Nikki Haley was interviewed by AP politics reporter Meg Kinnard and when asked whether he would support former president Trump if he were to run for the second time in 2024 she stated that she would. Clarifying her statement she said that she would not run for president if Trump declared his ambitions to run for the same.

This press event was held on Monday after Haley toured the campus of South Carolina State University which was revealed that it was the first time she had appeared in her home state for months.

Nikki Haley served in the political arena on various positions such as being the Governor of South Carolina from 2011 to 2017. Rumors of her possible candidacy for flying the flag of the Republican party to the highest office in America began circulating after she launched a conservative Political Action Committee called Stand for America.

In response to a question posed to her about her relationship with the former president, Haley declared that they had a great working relationship and he appreciated how he let her do her job noting that during her term as US ambassador she made notable strides in Israel which involved routinely calling out the Iran deal and advocating for the state more often.
