‘Nilikuwa Nimefika Mwisho’ – Daring Man who Halted Uhuru’s Motorcade Recounts

A daring man who was captured on Camera on Wednesday 26th stopping President Uhuru Kenyatta`s motorcade in Lucky summer Nairobi has now defended himself amid security threats speculations.

The man identified as Kefa Nyambane told a local TV station in the country on Friday 28th that he had no security threats intentions but he was overwhelmed when he saw the President to offload his problems.

According to the man, He is a  father of three children and in addition, he is unemployed therefore when he saw his Excellency's Mortocade he saw a golden opportunity.

“The President is my leader. I voted for him. We wake up at four o’clock in the morning to elect a leader and at the end of the day, you don’t benefit from electing a leader. I saw a golden opportunity to share my problems with my President,” Kefa said. 

He further added "Mimi nilikuwa nimefika mwisho,”  Swahili word loosely translated as is had no more hopes left in anything.

He also revealed that he is unemployed and incapable of providing for his family of four.

However, a statement that was issued by Statehouse Spokesperson  Cirus Oguna notified all Kenyans that the President's Security wasn't violated in any other way neither was the man a security threat.

“The individual is a citizen who was only excited to see the motorcade His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta. We wish to allay any fears that the President’s security was under threat,” Oguna said in a tweet.
