According to sources, the Njiru Bulldozing is being done by the government in a bid to pave way for development projects.

The affected homeowners watched helplessly from afar distance unable to save some of their properties that were already turned into debris.

The structures comprised mostly multi-story buildings with some of them were uncompleted and the owners had not even moved into them.

"I had just completed building the house and not even moved in and it is now gone," said one of the affected homeowners.

Well, according to the affected residents they stated that the government had not even issued them a notice to evacuate the land before the bulldozing day or month but what they saw were the bulldozers descending on their houses.

This similar house leveling comes barely a year after the destruction of structures in the Kariobangi North estate left more than 5,000 residents homeless after the government demolished their houses to recuperated the land.

However, the Makadara Member of Parliament George Aladwa condemned the inhumane act by the government stating that the national government has the constitutional responsibility to ensure that citizen`s rights are protected and every Kenyan is accorded  to equal treatment as per the law.
