No 'Like' Display Options for Facebook and Instagram.
Instagram and Facebook have set an option to enable users display likes on their posts.

A week has passed since Instagram activated the likes feature which enables users to decide whether to display or hide their likes from public.
This option was announced during the Facebook's annual development conference to try and curb the allogations of sociatal pressure on number of likes garnerd from a post by a user.
The feature has now been customized allowing users pick their preference which includes; unable to see like count on anyone's post, turn off public likes on users post and maintain the original settings.
