Nuno Espirito Santo: Tottenham are NOT on the right and Man United Deserved Win

Nuno Espirito Santo cut the figure of a beaten man as he admitted that his Tottenham side simply are not on the right track following a lacklustre 3-0 home defeat to Manchester United. Spurs failed to register a shot on target as United put them under pressure courtesy of veteran duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani, and Nuno has held his hands up and admitted not enough is being done.

He said: 'We didn't play good. Man United were stronger than us. We allowed counter-attacks. They were organised, with three centre-halves it's difficult.

'We could not do it, we were not able to find the combinations. It was a bit better in the second half but the finish wasn't there. [It was] a Bad performance.

'We're trying to find solutions, working on the training ground, there's no other way.'

Nuno then addressed the burning issue of talisman Harry Kane, who has looked shy of form all season following his failed summer escape attempt to join Manchester City.

Kane failed to get into the match against United, and was on the receiving end of criticism from the home supporters.

Nuno came to the defence of the forward, adding: 'It's all our players, not only Harry, we have to support them, help them find solutions.'

'We tried to improve what was missing. Unfortunately it didn't work out.'

'We're not on the right track. It's up to us to tell them [supporters] we try our best and keep on trying, and in a humble way ask them to support us.
