Nyachae's Corpse Flown to Kisii Ahead of Monday's Send-Off

Nyachae died some days ago after a long battle with cancer. He will be laid to rest tomorrow at Kisii, with the send-off strictly set to be a private affair.

The remains of the ex-Cabinet Minister the late Simeon Nyachae were on Sunday morning airlifted to his home in Kisii County ahead of his burial scheduled for tomorrow. 

The late Nyachae was ferried by a police chopper from the Lee funeral home to Kisii school from where it was ferried again to his Nyosia home.

The corpse was received by his wife Grace, sons Lee, Michael, and Ken. Kisii county boss led leaders in receiving Nyachae's body.

Among dignitaries set to grace Nyachae's burial is President Kenyatta, ODM leader Raila Odinga, among others. The fallen veteran is set to be buried tomorrow in a private ceremony according to his family.

In a recent requiem mass, politicians among other leaders eulogized Nyachae as a man whose contribution to the nation cannot go unnoticed. 

His family described him as a strict but loving man to his family, not forgetting his compassion and generosity to others.
