Nzoia Cane Farmers Down Their Tools Amid Un paid Dues
Farmers in Nzioa Sugar Company in Bungoma County, on Monday 31st, Downed their tools and took to the streets to protest against unpaid dues as per the agreements.
Christine Juma According to one of the workers named Wafula, in his statement to the media, they wake up at dawn to resume their duties with all the challenges just to ensure that the best is done while cutting the sugarcane but all their efforts are turned into stories when payments are due.
On the other hand, Wafula states that there`s no one to stand up and speak for them and he now urges the Finance Manager to look into the matter and ensure that their rights as workers are taken into considerations.
