ODM Secretary General Issues An Apology Over Manhandling of Journalists By Security Attached to Chungwa House.
Orange Democratic Movement Edwin Sifuna has issued an apology over the manhandling of journalists by security details at Chungwa house yesterday.

In his tweet shared on his official Twitter account, to the affected journalists of the Standard and The Star, Sifuna said they are sorry and have opened the case to investigate those involved and actions will be taken to avoid recurrence.
“I have reached out to unreservedly apologize to my friends Luke Awich and Moses Nyamori, journalists from @TheStarKenya and @StandardKenya for the harassment at Chungwa house. I have opened an investigation to ensure those responsible are dealt with and prevent recurrence’’ said Sifuna
The said journalists were roughed up by security apparatus as they covered the ODM party event held at Chungwa house. The Media Council also condemned the act and called on the ODM party to arrest and take action against the security cum goons who are responsible as soon as possible because journalists’ security and freedom is a priority. and this prompted public outcry with bodies.
