Official: Willock Wins Premier League Player of the Month Award for May
Joe Willock’s amazing end of the 2020/21 season for Newcastle United has been recognized with May’s EA SPORTS award for the Player of the Month.

Willock joined Newcastle on loan from Arsenal during the winter transfer window where he scored in each of Newcastle’s final four matches in the month of May.
Having also been prolific in April, Willock became only the second Newcastle player after Alan Shearer to score in seven successive Premier League Matches.
Willock also makes history to be the first Newcastle player to claim the monthly award since goalkeeper Tim Krul in November 2013.
The 22-year-old player began with a goal in the impressive 4-2 win against Leicester City before scoring again as Newcastle ran Man City close but losing 4-3.
Willock topped an eight-man shortlisted i.e. Bale, Alisson, Benteke, Mane, Pepe, Ramsdale, and Rodrigo.
