The Anglican Church leader on Sunday banned all politicians from speaking to his congregation during the consecration of the first female bishop Rose Okeno. Those who fell victim were ODM leader and his counterpart Musalia Mudavadi who were accompanied by COTU boss Francis Atwoli and other Igwe region big names. They were forced to sit down quietly and observe what was happening.

Ole Sapit said that political leaders had violated the sanctity of the church.

He further went on to accuse the politicians of using the church to carry their political Agendas and not for the spiritual nourishment

He said, “nimepiga marufuku wanasiasa kuongea ndani ya kanisa la Anglican”.

Today he was on fire again after barring all clergymen to stop visiting politicians’ homes for the

handouts. He said the work of the men of the cloth should be in the churches spreading the gospel but not in the politicians’ homes.

“Our Bishops and Clergy should not be part of the so-called grassroots and religious leaders who troop to homes of politicians to be given political direction because that is not our work,” Ole Sapit said
