Ollessos College Student Commits Suicide Over Alleged Broken Relationship

Monny’s problems began on September 12, 2016, when she announced her engagement on social media. She was only 18 years old at the time. However, it appears that the engagement and relationship ended a few months ago, as Monny posted cryptic words about loss and rejection.

According to close friends, Monny Muthoni's delicate mental state was caused by a broken heart and loneliness.

She wrote a long statement to her fans on the anguish of a broken relationship and moving on before taking her own life.

"Dear World, I am leaving because I am bored, I feel I have lived long enough. I am leaving you with your worries in this sweet cesspool. I tried. No more pains. Wake no more. Nobody owns [knows]" read the post

"I am going to put myself to sleep now for a bit longer than usual. Call time eternity...I" she added.

This comes after a salonist in Ongata Rongai is reported to have commited suicide. Her body was discovered dangling from the roof of her bedroom after she died.

The 33 year old ended her life with a cable and a bedsheet, leaving a letter in the house stating that she was bored of living.

Monny Muthoni, a student at Ollessos Technical Training Institute in Nandi County, took her own life after an alleged failed relationship.
