Former CoG Wycliffe Oparanya has indicated an intention to team up with Siaya Senator James Orengo as wrangles within the ODM party continues to deepen.

The two leaders, in the presence of MP Otiende Amollo held a closed-door meeting on Sunday, May 9th, after attending a church service in Butere.

According to a report by Nation on Monday, Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo and Siaya Senator James Orengo went to Butere for the meeting that took place after attending a church service.

However, at the service held at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Mukoye, the three said they still supported the party but accused some of the top management ODM officials of misleading the party leader Raila Odinga.

The trio asked the former Prime Minister to be "wary of people who want to ruin the party's chances of forming the next government."

Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo was recently ousted from the powerful Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) in the National Assembly and talks had also been raised that senator Orengo, who serves as the Leader of Minority in the Senate, was to be removed from over his defiance of the party leader.

However, Former Prime minister Raila Odinga in a statement quickly quashed the rumors noting that the party had no plans to replace Orengo.

The trio asked the former Prime Minister to be "wary of people who want to ruin the party's chances of forming the next government."
