Deputy President William Ruto on Monday welcomed a new security team that was recently posted to his official residence.

The National Police Service last week replaced the General Service Unit (GSU) officers at the DP’s official residence and his other residences in Uasin Gishu with Administration Police (AP) officers.

And as the new team starts work in the new station, Ruto officially welcomed them by having a cup of with team together.

In a tweet, the DP said: “Sharing a cup of tea with the new security team as I welcome them to the Official Residence of the Deputy President.”

They together enjoyed cup of tea of which he shared the photos to his followers, while also having discussion and  taking a walk through the official residence of the Deputy President in Karen, Nairobi.

Ruto is seen laughing  in a number of the photos with the new security detail who will now be taking charge of ensuring he is totally secure, same to his family.

A move to replace GSU officers with APs to handle the DP’s security has been protested by a number of his allies who claim is part of a wider scheme to further frustrate the Hustler Nation Leader.
