The Arusha Bypass is a Tanzanian section of the Arusha - Namanga - Athi River road, which is part of the 15,000km East African Road Network and the Trans African Highway from Cape Town to Cairo via Gaborone. It begins in Ngaramtoni, crosses Dodoma Road at Kisongo, and ends in Usa River Township.

The new bypass road will relieve cargo pressure on the congested Moshi-Arusha Rd and allow a continuous flow of cargo from Mombasa port to the Central Corridor at Singida.

Furthermore, the road has helped to decongest the Arusha Central Business District, which has aided in the growth of the town that houses the EAC headquarters.

Here are some photos of the event.
