Police Contain Bomb Scare Situation In Nairobi
On Wednesday morning, a suspected bomb terrified workers and halted activity after being discovered on the streets of Nairobi Town.

An abandoned explosive device was discovered near Ebony House on Taita Taveta Lane in Nairobi's Central Business District.
The object was identified by passersby who alarmed the police.
Police officers promptly surrounded the scene in order to contain the location before the special bomb squad arrived.
The special team came to the region shortly after to inspect the device before removing it to do additional research.
In response to the bomb alert, officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) examined the suspicious device to test whether was real.
The area had been shut off by police, and the general population was told to stay away but the police later reopened the lane after concluding that the object did not present a threat to the public.
