Police in Molo, Nakuru County, have initiated a tracking operation for a woman who purportedly killed her husband.

The police claim that Susan Nyambura, 35, killed her husband Frederick Gichini, 52, at Tayari village before fleeing to an uknown destination after the deceased returned home inebriated on Tuesday night.

According to reports, the dispute turned into a battle which resulted in Gichini's death.

Police who dashed to the location found the deceased bleeding from the mouth and bearing bruises on the head.

Nyambura had already fled with two of her three children, abandoning her husband's lifeless body on the bed.

"Three pieces of wood suspected to be the murder weapons were also found alongside Gichini's body," said the Directorate Of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in a statement he gave on Wednesday.

"When detectives arrived at the house, they discovered Gichini's body with head injuries and blood flowing from his mouth," the DCI stated.

According to the police, detectives are pursuing key leads that could lead to the arrest of the culprit, who is still on the loose.
