Kenya Power announced on Wednesday, August 25th that some estates in Nairobi will be without power for eight hours.

The Power company claimed that the disruption is due to scheduled maintenance. As a result, between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m., some estates in Nairobi will endure scheduled power outages.

The areas expected to experience this problem are Uhuru Gardens, Airport View Estate, Bible Society of Kenya, Miller Estate, and Blue Sky are among the estates affected.


Other areas are Along Lang'ata Road, Dam Estate, Dam II, Langata Barracks, KWS, House of Grace Church, White Star Academy, and Sailing Club would be impacted.
Carnivore, Phenom Estate, Tamarind Hotel, Carnivore Restaurant, Langata Shopping Centre, Karting Club, and West Par are all in the vicinity of Carnivore.

On the other hand, estates along the Southern By-pass and estates along Shree Cutch Temple will be without power. Texas Cancer Centre, Jonathan Gloag Academy, Shell Petrol Station, AP Camp, Akiba Estate, Civil Servant Estate, and Funguo Estate are among the other places that may be impacted.

This comes at a time on Monday 23rd there was an outrage of power across various  Kenyan residences and estates forcing Kenyans to take their complin to social media.

Kenya Power has urged residents of Nairobi where power will be disrupted to prepare accordingly with power supply optional services to avoid inconveniences.
